Blueberry's race consists of alligator or crocodile-like humanoids with reptilian features, elongated snouts, and rough, scaled skin. Members of this species come in varying skin colors, including green and red, and stand at roughly average Earthling height. They are sapient, capable of speech, and integrated into the Frieza Force's military hierarchy, though they appear to occupy the lower ranks. Their homeworld has never been identified, and the species has no official name, going by the designation of its most notable member.

Blueberry served as a low-ranking soldier in the Frieza Force during the events of the Namek Saga. What makes him slightly unusual among the countless soldiers in Frieza's army is that he openly wished to be free of Frieza's control. This quiet resentment set him apart from the many soldiers who served out of loyalty or fear without question. Blueberry's personal discontent never led to any meaningful rebellion; he remained a grunt in the organization and was ultimately just another casualty of the Z Fighters' actions on Namek.

Members of his species reappeared during the events of Resurrection 'F', among the 1,000 soldiers Frieza brought to Earth after his revival. In the manga adaptation, one is seen charging directly at Master Roshi during the battle. Their continued presence in the reconstituted Frieza Force under Sorbet confirms that the species survived the empire's collapse and remained part of its military structure even after Frieza's initial death.

Blueberry's race is one of many species that populate the lower tiers of the Frieza Force, providing the visual variety and sense of scale that makes the organization feel like a genuine galactic military rather than a small group of powerful individuals. They appear as regular enemies in several Dragon Ball video games, including Dokkan Battle and Legacy of Goku, where their distinctive crocodilian appearance makes them immediately recognizable among the standard Frieza Force grunts. Like many unnamed Frieza Force races, their story is defined not by individual accomplishment but by their collective role as the expendable workforce of an interstellar empire.
