Centipede-like aliens from an unnamed planet in Universe 7 who attempted to poison Beerus during a feast. When the God of Destruction uncovered their plan, they attacked him in desperation and were destroyed, rendering their species extinct in Age 778.
The unnamed insectoids are a sapient alien species with centipede-like features who inhabited a planet in Universe 7. They stood at roughly the same height as Earthlings and possessed an omnivorous diet. Their society was organized enough to have a king and the infrastructure to host a formal feast.
Beyond these basic details, their biology and culture remain largely undocumented. What is known comes entirely from their single, fatal encounter with the God of Destruction Beerus.
When Beerus visited their world, the insectoids' king ordered a grand feast prepared for the deity. This was not an act of hospitality but a trap. The food was laced with poison, intended to kill the God of Destruction through treachery rather than force.
Beerus, however, saw through the scheme. When the insectoids realized their plan had failed, they made the desperate and ultimately suicidal decision to attack him directly. The God of Destruction responded by obliterating them entirely, wiping the species from existence in a moment of casual annihilation.
Their extinction occurred in Age 778, making them one of the many civilizations erased by Beerus during the Dragon Ball Super timeline.
The unnamed insectoids serve as an early demonstration of the Dragon Ball Super manga's central theme: the terrifying gap between mortal civilizations and the gods who govern them. Their attempt at assassination through poisoned food, a strategy that might have worked against any mortal opponent, was utterly inadequate against a being of Beerus's nature.
Their story appears in the very first chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga, establishing immediately that in this era of the franchise, entire species can be rendered extinct as casually as swatting an actual insect. The irony of insectoid aliens being destroyed so effortlessly is almost certainly intentional.
