A variant of Captain Ginyu's signature Body Change technique that incorporates physical restraint to prevent the target from dodging. By locking the opponent in a hold before initiating the swap, the user ensures the body exchange cannot be evaded through simple movement.
The standard Body Change technique used by Captain Ginyu has a critical weakness: the target can simply dodge the energy beam that triggers the swap. Ginyu learned this the hard way during his battle on Planet Namek, when his initial attempts at swapping bodies with Goku were complicated by the need to land the beam accurately. The Paralysis Body Change addresses this vulnerability by adding a restraint component.
The user grabs the target from behind, typically in a full nelson hold that pins their arms and prevents evasive movement. With the target immobilized, the body swap beam can be fired at point-blank range, making evasion virtually impossible. This variation trades the ranged advantage of the standard Body Change for a near-guaranteed hit rate, assuming the user can get close enough to apply the hold in the first place.
The obvious limitation is that approaching a stronger opponent closely enough to apply a physical hold is itself extremely dangerous. The user must either catch the target off guard or rely on allies to create an opening. In most scenarios, the kind of fighter worth stealing a body from is also the kind of fighter who is extremely difficult to restrain.
