Inner Nature Unleashed

Transformation

Inner Nature Unleashed is the berserk, uncontrolled version of the Heeter race's hidden power. When a Heeter loses control of their emotions, their inner nature erupts outward, dramatically increasing their power but stripping away all rational thought. Gas experienced this state both as a youth fighting Bardock and as an adult during the Granolah saga, attacking allies and enemies alike until he managed to master the power and achieve the controlled Awakened Form.

The Berserk Precursor

The Inner Nature Unleashed state represents raw, unfiltered power with no conscious direction. When Gas first experienced it during his fight with Bardock forty years before the main Granolah storyline, the young Heeter became so consumed by rage that he could not distinguish between friend and foe. His brother Elec had to use mental restraints to suppress the transformation afterward, keeping Gas's inner nature locked away for decades to prevent another uncontrolled outburst.

The Path to Mastery

During the events of the Granolah saga, Gas was pushed to his limits fighting Granolah and the Saiyan duo of Goku and Vegeta. The pressure caused him to slip into the Inner Nature Unleashed state again, and he went on a rampage that endangered Oil and Macki, his own allies within the Heeter organization. It was only through Elec's intervention, getting through to Gas emotionally, that the younger Heeter was able to channel the berserk power into the controlled Awakened Form. The Inner Nature Unleashed thus serves as a narrative stepping stone: it represents the same power as the Awakened Form, but without the mental discipline needed to wield it effectively.
