While the standard Super Saiyan Blue aura radiates outward as a byproduct of the transformation, the barrier is a deliberately created shell of condensed ki that encases the user at a fixed distance from their body. Incoming attacks must penetrate this shell before they can reach the user, adding an extra layer of defense.

In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, this barrier has been shown to deflect standard energy blasts and reduce the impact of physical strikes. It is not impenetrable; sufficiently powerful attacks can shatter it, and sustained assault will drain the ki reserves needed to maintain it.
