Vic Mignogna is an American actor, musician and voice performer best known for playing Edward Elric across the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise; in Neon Genesis Evangelion's English dub he voiced Shigeru Aoba, a NERV bridge officer, across several Director's Cut episodes.
In the English dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion's 2004 Director's Cut episodes, Mignogna voiced Shigeru Aoba, one of the NERV bridge crew who monitor the Eva pilots' battles from the command center, appearing across several episodes from the back half of the series. The role predates the fame he would later find as Fullmetal Alchemist's Edward Elric.
Mignogna became one of English-dubbed anime's most prolific voices: he is Edward Elric throughout the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, played Broly across several Dragon Ball films, brought Tamaki Suoh to life in Ouran High School Host Club, and voiced Kurz Weber for the Full Metal Panic! series, racking up more than a hundred anime and game credits over a career spanning more than two decades. In 2019, sexual harassment allegations led Funimation and Rooster Teeth to cut ties with him, a controversy he has publicly disputed, and while his convention appearances slowed afterward he has continued working in the industry.
