CharacterBrit, full name Brittany, is a supporting hero in Invincible and a longtime friend of Cecil Stedman. A century-old former soldier rendered completely invulnerable, he handles cleanup work for the Global Defense Agency and takes command of the frontline heroes during the Invincible War.
Appearance
Age has not softened Brit's build. He remains broad and powerfully muscled, with a fair complexion and close-cropped white hair kept in a tidy military crop. Out of costume he favors plain khakis and a dark green turtleneck.
For hero work he pulls a red and blue spandex outfit over those everyday clothes, rounded out with silver gloves and boots.
Personality
Brit carries himself like the hardened soldier he is, fixing on the objective above all else. Cecil trusts him to marshal the assembled heroes through the Invincible War, and he proves a capable commander, willing to use whatever means the crisis demands and to plug fresh fighters into the gaps left by the fallen. For all that grit he clearly values his comrades, digging Donald Ferguson out of the rubble with visible relief and grieving the heroes cut down by the alternate Invincibles. He also refuses to abide cruelty toward allies, moving in to seize Powerplex after the villain assaults Invincible.
Abilities
Brit's defining gift is total invulnerability. Blades, bullets, explosions, and acid all fail against him, and he has walked away from a nuclear blast without a scratch. Because nothing can hurt him, he can safely channel every fiber of his musculature, hoisting loads many times his own weight without any special training. His body also ages far more slowly than a normal person's, and he moves with unusually broad agility and sharp reflexes, the latter honed by years of military discipline. On top of the raw toughness he is a seasoned fighter and a natural leader of charges.
