Divine Soldiers

Character

The Divine Soldiers were fifty Birkan warriors who fought for Enel as part of God's Army during the Skypiea Arc. Goat-like in look and manner, they were led by the priest Yama and armed with Axe Dials that fired invisible blades of air.

Appearance

Save for Yama, every Divine Soldier was bald, with odd pendulous growths hanging on either side of the head and a pair of small, sharp horns sprouting from the crown. Their uniform ran to a head-to-toe white robe with loose white trousers, a white toga cinched at the waist, and a red collar fronted by a golden ring, all of which lent them a goatish cast. Brown sandals and a set of shooters rounded out the kit.

Personality

The soldiers carried themselves like goats, often bleating their words as they spoke. Devotion to Enel and his priests ran deep among them, though one broke ranks and turned on Gedatsu after Chopper saved his life.

Abilities

Each soldier carried an Axe Dial, a device that loosed a nearly invisible blade of compressed air to strike at enemies. They were also outfitted with paired shooters, gear that let them ride across the clouds.
