Hotori and Kotori

The two are impossible to tell apart, matching each other in dress and form while resembling their elder brother Satori. Each has a body rounded into a giant ball, wrapped in a white jumpsuit with a white sash, finished off with orange gloves and orange shoes. Yellow sunglasses block their eyes entirely, magenta ribbons hang behind them, and their heads are bald on top. Their Divine Soldier rank adds goat-like ears, noses, and horns, plus the wings shared by all Birkans.

Cruelty defines them. Both delight in dealing out pain, just as Satori does, and neither hesitates to strike enemies who are wounded or already unconscious. Real affection still ties them together, though, since both longed to avenge Satori's loss and Hotori flew into fury when Kotori went down. They carry the family's distinctive laugh, a "Ho ho ho."

Although neither holds the rank of priest, the brothers stand above an average Divine Soldier while remaining weaker than Satori. They wield an array of dials, with Hotori carrying Axe and Flame while Kotori uses Impact alongside stored gas in a Flavor Dial, and they combine these for layered effects. Both also command Observation Haki, called Mantra in the sky islands, letting them read a foe's intentions in advance. In their Bikkuri Dial Illusion, the lookalikes link arms and spin so fast that an opponent loses track of who holds which dial.

Eight years earlier the pair took part in Enel's conquest of Skypiea. During that arc they boarded the Going Merry to strike at Nami and Gan Fall over Satori. When Nami attacked, a Flavor Dial soaked up the blow and fired rancid gas back at her, after which the brothers whirled to compound the confusion. As Gan Fall pressed Kotori, a Flame Dial set the gas ablaze into an explosion, yet Gan Fall exploited the smoke to counterattack and drop Kotori instantly. Nami's Clima-Tact cyclone hurled Hotori into the river, and when he clawed his way back to keep fighting, she finished him with Gan Fall's Impact Dial after blinding him in fog. The beaten pair were hauled off the ship and left senseless in the forest, and after Enel fell, both were condemned to Cloud Drifting with the Priests.
