Yokozuna

This enormous frog has yellow-brown skin and wears his black hair in a chonmage topknot. His belly is crisscrossed with scars, earned from pitting himself against the Sea Train in tribute to Franky's own death-defying feat. Sharp, jagged teeth fill his mouth, and he tends to rise onto two legs, mainly to settle into his sumo stance.

Yokozuna's heart belongs to his friends and loved ones. His loyalty to Franky runs especially deep, dating back to the days when Franky taught him the front crawl. That bond, and the trauma of watching Franky run down by the train, fueled the obsessive resolve to grow stronger so he would never lose anyone dear to him again.

A formidable swimmer, Yokozuna is powerful enough to knock a Sea Train clean off its rails, though years of charging it scarred his face, arms, and belly. In combat he dodged Luffy's point-blank strikes, sent him flying, and even parried a blow from one of the Just Eleven Jurymen capable of halting a king bull. He had been the workers' pet for at least twenty-four years, often present through the decade-long building of the Puffing Tom, until Tom and Franky were framed by CP5 and Tom was condemned to death. Witnessing Franky get crushed by the train left Yokozuna traumatized, and for years he hounded the Sea Train's path. When Kokoro told him of Franky's plight aboard the Rocketman, he abandoned the habit to help the rescue mission to Enies Lobby, where his defensive prowess held the courthouse against government agents and the Jurors until the giants Oimo and Kashii relieved him. He later returned to Water 7, eventually retiring from his crusade against the Sea Train and spending peaceful days alongside Kokoro.
