The Will of Ohara! The Inherited Research

Shaka picks up the rest of the Ohara story. Arriving to honor the dead, Vegapunk had found giants hauling books up out of the lake, and though he first feared their motives, Dragon stepped in to clarify that the giants intended to carry the writings off to Elbaph so the World Government could never reach them. Vegapunk afterward made the trip to Elbaph himself, where its scholars shared the knowledge the Government had labored to bury. The destruction of Ohara also pushed Dragon, a companion of Clover, to eventually raise the Revolutionary Army, teaming with Ivankov and Kuma. Wrapping up, Shaka assures Robin that the giants were led by Saul, the same man who once spared her during the Buster Call, and he then guides the crew toward the security room.

Luffy's party interrogates Vegapunk, whose famous balloon-shaped head is replaced for now by a small apple-like cap. He recounts eating the Nomi Nomi no Mi, which turned him into a Brain Human capable of soaking up almost endless knowledge, though the learning swelled his brain until it grew too bulky to be practical. He removed it and fitted an antenna in its place; the still-growing organ, dubbed Punk Records, is in fact the huge egg drifting above the island, tethered to his body by that antenna. He further explains that he split his personality into six satellites, those being Shaka, Lilith, Edison, Pythagoras, plus Atlas and York, each drawing on the shared brain for a distinct role. Bonney then lunges at him with a beam saber, demanding justice for her father, but the glow lures a cloud of insects and she faints from the shock, watched on the surveillance feed by Shaka's group. Vegapunk writes the saber off as a flop for attracting bugs.

Vegapunk explains that Momonosuke's fruit, an artificial duplicate of the Uo Uo no Mi, the Model: Seiryu fruit once held by Kaidou, was a botched experiment too, dismissed as a failure on color alone, given that whoever ate it became a pink dragon rather than an azure one. He also makes clear that the storied Iron Giant is no creation of his; the machine dates back two centuries and once struck at Mary Geoise. Far off, a masked killer accompanied by a pigeon closes on Egghead under orders to end his life. After Lilith's earlier intrusion, the Tell Me, Robin segment gets rebranded as the Punk Records Library, hosted by both Lilith and Edison.
