The Straw Hat Crew Annihilated - Full-Throttle Kage Kage Abilities

Moria details how stretching Oars' shadow drags the giant's frame along with it, keeping body and shadow identical in form and letting Oars extend his limbs the way Luffy can. He then rolls the shadow into a ball so the giant becomes a sphere that hurtles at the crew. The Straw Hats hit back together, Usopp firing Brook out of the Kuwagata as Robin whips him into a spinning tornado and Nami charges him with lightning, yet the electrified Bone Sword barely marks Oars before a counterblow lays the musician out.

Robin pins Moria with her arms and demands the shadows back, threatening to crush him, but Brick Bats bite her grip loose. He swaps positions with his Doppelman, so her bone-cracking Clutch closes on a decoy instead, then tears Robin's shadow free and leaves her sunk in a coma-like stupor. Chopper works out that Oars perished long ago from frostbite and that one arm was grafted on only recently, meaning the giant registers no pain while still suffering damage. Chopper and Sanji land a paired Roseo Shoot on that arm, but Oars retaliates with a Gum-Gum Gatling that downs them both.

The episode draws on chapters 476 and 477, rated 8.1, and ranked fifth. With Franky, Brook, Robin, Sanji, and Chopper all out of the fight, only Nami, Zoro, and Usopp remain as their odds collapse. Two animation errors crop up: blood appears on Brook's outfit despite him being nothing but bones, fixed in the following episode, and during the Gum-Gum Spear both of Oars' lower fangs are briefly drawn intact even though the left one had already been sliced off.
