Z's Ambition Arc - The Little Giant Lily!

What looks like a ring of Marine warships hemming in the pirates proves to be nothing but a trick of the eye. Nami identifies these waters by name, the Maubeugemour Sea, a lawless region that throws illusory enemies and deadly conditions at whoever drifts in. Rain swells to boulder size before freezing into hail, an avalanche of snow buries them, and the ocean itself rips open into a ravine, and through every assault the pirates hold firm.

Brutal heat follows the storms. Working from the last scraps of a giant fish their captain had reeled in, Sanji plates meals that promptly disappear, and he pins the theft on Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper. Convinced a ghost is aboard, Chopper panics when a voice rises from a scraped-clean pot. Food across the galley is then wolfed down in moments, and the pantry is found bare. A short scuffle on the deck ends with Luffy seizing a tiny woman who, cornered, expands into a looming giant to frighten the others. Her swing meets his block, his strength wins out, and he pitches her into the waves, where Sanji hauls her up before she goes under.

Though she had plundered their stores, the woman thanks them and names herself Lily Enstomach. Born a giant, she swallowed a power that traps her in miniature form. She has come to break out her father, dragged toward Impel Down by the World Government over stolen food, after she caught wind that his escort would pass through this very sea. That father is Panz Fry, a New World giant chef famed for volcano cooking and for handing his pilfered food to the hungry. Hungry himself for a taste of those dishes, Luffy signs on to the rescue. Somewhere distant, Neo Marine vessels mass together, two of them carrying Ain and Binz. When Ain radios Shuzo about skipping the formation, he confesses a plan to murder Lily's father and claim her standing as Z's second. Marine ships then break the horizon hauling the captured giant, and Luffy commits to the coming clash.

This entry launches the Z's Ambition Arc, the first chapter of the broader Dressrosa Saga, debuting the Neo Marines and the characters Ain, Binz, Lily, Shuzo, Alpacacino, and Panz Fry. Lily, through the Mini Mini no Mi, ranks as only the second non-canon giant ever depicted holding a fruit power, following Blyue, who consumed that same fruit. Storms had wrecked her own vessel, leaving her adrift inside a floating bottle until a whale hurled it onto the Sunny and smashed it. Drenched and then roasted by the sun, the crew switches to summer wear, opposite the manga, where they bundled up at a partly frozen island. The usual New World narration gives way to a short prologue before the recap, and the staged illusion fight nods to the We Go! opening. Franky wears a rhinoceros-beetle hairstyle, a brief error erases Robin's shoes during the giant downpour, and the next-episode trailer carries only Luffy reading off the title.
