The Devil's Trap, A Dressrosa Extermination Plan

Mobs of former toys surge at the SMILE Factory, yet its guards note that the seastone doors hold unless someone carries the key, and Diamante and Trebol meet the charge themselves, splintering blades and pinning attackers with a steel cape, mucus, and a pole reshaped into a hammer. High above, Kyros lunges at Doflamingo and demands to know how he still breathes, only for the Warlord to surface behind him with his head whole again and nearly land a killing kick. Luffy hauls Kyros aside in time, and a brawl erupts: Doflamingo and a string clone batter Luffy with paired strikes, hardening their fists with Armament Haki, until the clone finally unwinds into thread and shows itself a marionette.

Doflamingo asks Riku whether he recalls the night his realm was stolen ten years before, then warns that what comes next will dwarf it. He orders Pica to expel everyone, and the heaving ground throws the group from the castle before Luffy softens the fall with Gomu Gomu no Fusen. Sending the clone's thread spiraling skyward, Doflamingo triggers the Birdcage, a dome of cutting string that seals Dressrosa, slicing anything that touches it and shearing cannon fire on contact. Law spells out that the Warlord intends to slay every soul caught on the island before the kingdom's buried truth can escape. Worse still, the strings implant Parasite in people, compelling Marines and civilians alike to attack one another at random, while Issho snatches and reads one of the threads.

Pica goes on to reshape the land itself, sinking the King's Plateau and lifting the palace, SMILE Factory, and Flower Field, pulling the town inward and dropping hundreds of citizens. Picking up a Den Den Mushi, Doflamingo declares a game across the whole island: end it by killing him in the palace, or claim the rich bounties he sets on a handful of people whose names he recites, insisting every survivor must turn hunter. The adaptation adds the officers' fight against the toys, Diamante's giant hammer, and Issho sensing and stopping a Parasite thread aimed his way. As with the surrounding episodes, broadcasts censored Doflamingo's severed form, here drawing his clone with swirling string where his head should be. The entry sits in the Dressrosa Arc, and Doflamingo's Torikago debuts.
