The Battle of Love - The New Leader Sai vs. Baby 5

While Luffy pleads with the self-destructive Bellamy and Zoro dodges Pica's stone spikes, Sai and Baby 5 drop to a lower battlefield. Baby 5 mistakes his every command for affection, reading even a vow not to release her as a marriage proposal. Nearby, Chinjao attacks Lao G, who shrugs off the blows and counters with the Jio-Ken stance Yotsu no Kamae, claiming his fighting style grew from a lifetime of accumulated pain. He batters Chinjao's eyes, shoulders, joints, and lower back until the older pirate collapses.

A flashback reveals Baby 5's origin: cast out as a useless infant by her desert tribe and abandoned in the jungle by her own mother. Desperate to be needed, she once subscribed to fifty newspapers and accepted a homeless man's proposal. Convinced again that helping is her only worth, she turns her arm into a gun and aims it at her head when Sai says he must defeat the officers to repay Luffy. Horrified, Sai slaps her and demands she stop, insisting he would feel no victory in her death, while Chinjao berates him for sparing an enemy.

Chinjao intercepts Sai, only to have his drill-shaped head bent ninety degrees by a Bujaogen kick, proof that the Hasshoken has finally passed to his grandson. Weeping with pride, Chinjao cancels Sai's arranged marriage and hands him the Happo Navy. Lao G surges back with the youth-restoring Sento Ho-Ken and the ultimate Manki Kaiyaku, but Sai nullifies it and answers with Hasshoken Ogi: Kiryu Kirikugi, opening a vast fissure that swallows the officer. Lao G falls cursing and apologizing to Doflamingo. The adaptation harshens Baby 5's abandonment and adds anime-only Jio-Ken techniques.
