Momoo drags Sanji and Luffy's boat at full tilt onto the shore, launching the pair skyward as the sea cow buries itself head-first into the water. Nearby, a frantic Zoro is hunting for Usopp when the two crash down on top of him. Zoro urges haste to rescue their captured friend, but Johnny stops them cold with the news that Nami has already killed Usopp, leaving everyone stunned.

Off the coast of Gosa Village, Commodore Pudding Pudding leads a Marine ship in to free the islanders and root out the fish-man pirates. Arlong, never having heard of the 77th Branch, orders his lieutenants to bribe the newcomers or destroy them. When a cannonball flies at him, he catches it in his jaws and crushes it, then cancels the offer. Chew storms the deck while Kuroobi rips off the rudder and Hatchan drives the vessel into the reef, spawning a whirlpool that swallows the ship and its crew.

The chapter underscores how the fish-men's raw power combined with Nami's cartography makes the crew nearly unstoppable. Arlong swears he would sooner die than break a promise about money, hinting at Nami's debt. Luffy refuses to believe Johnny's claim, insisting Nami would never harm a crewmate, only for Nami herself to appear and coldly question the word.
