Takeshi Koyano

Takeshi Koyano served as a background artist on the original Dragon Ball series, earning a credit on episode 66. His work extended to the Dragon Ball Z film series, where he provided photography and digital cinematography for multiple theatrical releases. He contributed as a director of photography and CG camera director across the major DBZ films, including Bio-Broly, Bojack Unbound, Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan, Fusion Reborn, Super Android 13, The Return of Cooler, and Wrath of the Dragon.

Koyano built a career spanning multiple roles in anime production, working across digital photography, CG camera direction, and cinematography. Beyond Dragon Ball, he contributed to Digimon Adventure, Digimon Tamers films, One Piece theatrical releases, and Sailor Moon movies. His technical expertise in digital composition and photography helped define the visual quality of anime in the 1990s and 2000s.
