Kōji Ogawa

Ogawa directed episode 1 of Dragon Ball Super, "A Peacetime Reward Who Gets the 100,000,000 Zeni?!," establishing the tone and visual framework for the series's opening saga. He storyboarded episodes 1 and 8, including "Goku Makes an Entrance! A Last Chance from Lord Beerus?," contributing to the narrative pacing and composition that anchored the Beerus Saga's foundation. His work bridged the stylistic gap between DBZ and Super's modern animation techniques.

Beyond Dragon Ball, Ogawa served as series director for multiple anime including GeGeGe no Kitarō (2018), World Trigger, and Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure. His career encompassed episode direction, storyboarding, and series supervision across diverse productions from the 2000s onward, building expertise in long-form anime series management.
