John Mitchell

Mitchell, working in tandem with writing partner Tom Keenlyside, composed the complete score for Ocean Group's Dragon Ball Z dub covering episodes 108-276, capturing the Android saga through the final confrontation with Kid Buu. They inherited and expanded upon the synth-rock musical foundation established by Shuki Levy in the dub's early episodes, crafting dozens of distinctive pieces that accompanied the climactic sagas.

Mitchell has contributed music to numerous anime localizations and animated series beyond Dragon Ball Z, including Billy the Cat, Mega Man, Monster Rancher, and Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. Many of his Dragon Ball Z compositions were repurposed in earlier Ocean dubs of Mega Man and Monster Rancher, demonstrating the practical efficiency of reusing strong instrumental pieces across Saban's broader anime localization efforts.
