Naoki Tatsuta voiced Oolong throughout the Dragon Ball series, from the original anime through Dragon Ball Super. His comedic timing made Oolong's pig antics and shapeshifting transformation into memorable moments fans still enjoy. Beyond Oolong, Tatsuta also provided voices for Ko-Gamera, boxers, soldiers, and other minor characters across the Dragon Ball anime. In Dragon Ball Super, he took over the role of King Kai's narrator from Jōji Yanami starting from episode 12, and voiced the character Auta Magetta.
Born in Naga, Wakayama Prefecture, Tatsuta has worked for Aoni Production and built a diverse career across anime, video games, and live-action work. He voiced notable roles including Buta Gorilla in Kiteretsu Daihyakka, characters in the Animal Crossing film, and Escargoon in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! A curious coincidence: Tatsuta voiced Zhu Bajie in the Saiyuki game, the mythological character that inspired Oolong's design.
