Rise and Fall

Gas begins the Granolah arc as the Heeter Force's enforcer, a role he fulfills with barely contained aggression. Though already formidable, he is overshadowed by the power of Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah. This changes when his brother Elec uses the Dragon Balls to wish Gas into the position of the universe's strongest warrior, granting him power that surpasses all other fighters at that moment.

The wish comes with severe consequences. Gas's new power begins to consume his body, accelerating his aging and deteriorating his physical form. Despite gaining strength beyond anything he previously possessed, the transformation is unsustainable. His body rapidly breaks down throughout the battle, turning him from a peak fighter into a decaying shell within hours.

Gas's arc serves as a cautionary tale about shortcuts to power. While Goku and Vegeta earn their strength through years of training and near-death experiences, Gas receives his through a wish, and the borrowed power literally destroys him. He ultimately dies from the rapid aging caused by his wish-granted abilities, his body unable to sustain the unnatural level of power forced upon it.
