The Last Cerealian

Granolah's homeworld, Planet Cereal, was devastated when the Frieza Force deployed Saiyan warriors to wipe out its population. The young Granolah survived only because a Namekian named Monaito sheltered him, becoming his adoptive father. Growing up as the sole remnant of a dead civilization, Granolah carried the weight of his people's memory and channeled his grief into becoming a skilled bounty hunter. He worked for the Heeters, a criminal organization that secretly orchestrated much of the universe's black market, unaware that they had their own connection to his people's destruction. His Cerealian physiology granted him an exceptionally sharp right eye capable of precision targeting at extraordinary distances, making him a lethal sniper.

The Wish for Power

Desperate to become strong enough to kill Frieza, Granolah sought out the Dragon Balls of Planet Cereal and wished to become the strongest warrior in the universe. The dragon Toronbo granted this wish, but the price was severe: Granolah's remaining lifespan was compressed to just three years. With this borrowed power, Granolah was manipulated by the Heeter leader Elec into fighting Goku and Vegeta, under the false pretense that the Saiyans were his true enemies. The battles that followed revealed that Granolah's power, while immense, was unstable and came with limitations that pure training-based strength did not have.

Resolution and Alliance

Through his fights with Goku and Vegeta, Granolah learned the truth about the destruction of Planet Cereal: the Heeters had been the ones who orchestrated the attack, using the Frieza Force as their weapon. Bardock, Goku's father, had actually saved the young Granolah and Monaito during the assault, directly contradicting the narrative of universal Saiyan villainy that had consumed Granolah's life. This revelation shattered his worldview and redirected his rage toward the Heeters themselves. He joined forces with Goku and Vegeta to fight Gas, the Heeter enforcer who had been granted a similar Dragon Ball wish to become the strongest. The battle against Gas pushed all three fighters to their limits, and Granolah's precision-based fighting style proved essential in exploiting the gaps in Gas's overwhelming but poorly controlled power. His story arc explores themes of generational trauma, the danger of letting revenge define identity, and the possibility of finding purpose beyond hatred.
