Biography and Story Role

Luud was engineered by the sinister scientist Dr. Myuu by mutating a single cell into a life-draining organism and housing it within a gigantic mechanical body. A fanatical religious cult formed around Luud on the planet that bears his name, with followers willingly offering their energy to "awaken" their deity.

During the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga of Dragon Ball GT, Goku, Pan, and Trunks encounter the Luud Cult while searching for the Black Star Dragon Balls. The cult's leaders, Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy and Dolltaki, manipulate followers into feeding their energy to Luud. Pan is eventually absorbed into Luud's body alongside other victims.

When Luud reaches full power, he becomes a formidable opponent capable of battling Goku. However, Pan and Goku discover that striking Luud's interior and exterior simultaneously causes the machine to destabilize. Working together from inside and outside, they destroy Luud and free all of the absorbed victims. The entire scheme was ultimately orchestrated by Dr. Myuu to gather enough energy for Baby's revival.
