Biography and Story Role

Turles was a low-class Saiyan who survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta by being off-world at the time. Rather than serving under Frieza, he assembled his own band of mercenaries called the Turles Crusher Corps and traveled the galaxy planting the Tree of Might on various planets. The tree absorbs all life energy from the planet it grows on, producing a fruit that dramatically increases the power of anyone who eats it.

When Turles arrived on Earth, he planted the tree and its rapid growth began draining the planet's vitality. Goku and the Dragon Team attempted to stop him, but Turles consumed the fruit of the tree and gained a temporary power boost that allowed him to overpower Goku. The battle turned when Goku gathered energy from the remaining life force on Earth to form a Spirit Bomb, which he used to destroy both Turles and the Tree of Might.

Though Turles is a movie-only character and not part of the main continuity, he has appeared in numerous video games and spin-off material. His resemblance to Goku is explained as a common physical type among low-class Saiyan warriors, not a familial connection.
