King Piccolo takes Tien hostage and systematically cripples Goku's limbs. With only his right arm still functional, Goku launches himself with a one-handed Kamehameha and punches clean through Piccolo's torso. Before dying, Piccolo spits out one final egg.
Recognizing that he cannot win a fair fight, King Piccolo resorts to cowardice. He seizes the exhausted Tien Shinhan and threatens to kill him if Goku dares to move. Goku, having just learned that Piccolo murdered Shenron, is forced to stand still and endure as Piccolo systematically cripples his limbs one by one. Only Goku's right arm remains untouched, an oversight that Piccolo will come to regret.
With Goku seemingly finished, Piccolo moves in for the kill. But Goku channels every ounce of remaining energy into his right fist and fires a one-handed Kamehameha behind him, using the blast as a propulsion system. He rockets forward at incredible speed and drives his fist clean through King Piccolo's torso. The demon king, mortally wounded, uses the last of his life force to spit out an egg containing his final offspring, commanding the child to avenge him before his body explodes in a massive fireball. Yajirobe swoops in to catch Goku before he falls to his death and retrieves Tien as well.
Goku's Penetrate technique, powered by a reverse Kamehameha propulsion, is one of the most iconic finishing moves in Dragon Ball. It combines desperation, creativity, and raw willpower into a single decisive blow. The attack leaves Goku completely broken physically, but the demon king is dead.
Piccolo's dying act of spawning an egg ensures that his evil lives on. The egg, which drifts away unnoticed, contains Piccolo Jr., who will grow up consumed by his father's hatred for Goku. This moment plants the seed for the entire Piccolo Jr. Saga that follows.
The defeat of King Piccolo closes one of Dragon Ball's darkest arcs. Goku becomes the first person to kill the demon king through sheer combat rather than sealing him away. Yajirobe's role as an unlikely rescuer adds a touch of humor to an otherwise intense conclusion. Tien is left deeply inspired by Goku's courage and resolve, vowing to train harder than ever.
