One Wish and a Kidnapping

Gomah's triumph quickly turns to frustration when Shenron informs him that first-time summoners receive only a single wish. His plan to also acquire the Evil Third Eye crumbles on the spot. With no way to make additional wishes and unable to have Neva summon the Dragon Balls again so soon, Gomah settles for taking the child-sized Dende hostage. Without the Namekian guardian, Earth's Dragon Balls become permanently inert, ensuring nobody can reverse the transformation. The group boards their ship and departs for the Demon Realm.

At Capsule Corporation, a shrunken Goku and Vegeta tumble from the sky, struggling to comprehend what has happened to their bodies. Shin senses a dark presence at the Lookout, and Kibito teleports the entire group there, where Mr. Popo explains that pointy-eared demons kidnapped Dende. Goku immediately volunteers to mount a rescue.

Preparations for the Journey

Shin orders Kibito to retrieve their old spaceship from the Sacred World of the Kai, but the vessel is too deteriorated to function. Bulma examines it and estimates ten days for repairs. While she works, Goku trains to adapt to his smaller body, eventually regaining the ability to fly. He tracks down his Power Pole, finding it repurposed as a clothesline at Kame House, and brings it back to the Lookout.

Glorio's Arrival

A ship lands unexpectedly at the Lookout, and a pale blue demon named Glorio steps out. He explains that he was sent by King Kadan of the Third Demon World to recruit Goku for a mission to overthrow Gomah. Goku agrees, eager to also rescue Dende. Shin insists on joining due to his brother Degesu's involvement. Bulma examines Glorio's ship for reference material that will speed up her own repairs, and the three depart for the Demon Realm, leaving Vegeta behind to follow once the second ship is ready.
