Storming the Palace

Having broken through the bulk of the Gendarmerie military, Goku and his allies set their sights on rescuing Dende from the Demon King's Palace. Outside the gates they encounter the Gendarmerie Force, who deliver one of their signature theatrical introductions. Vegeta decides he will handle them personally.

Despite their confidence and varied arsenal of weapons, the Gendarmerie Force proves to be no match. Vegeta dispatches each member with minimal effort, and the defeated fighters are quickly tied up. With the path clear, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Shin enter the palace while the rest of the group stays outside to keep watch. Panzy, sensing something is off, quietly follows them inside.

Degesu's True Colors

Inside the palace, Degesu has already grabbed Dende and relocated him to a launch bay where a Demon Realm Plane is waiting. He plans to escape, but Goku and his companions arrive before he can take off. Degesu pulls a gun and aims it at Dende, freezing everyone in place. When Shin demands an explanation from his younger brother, Degesu reveals his true goal: he wants to become the next Supreme Demon King.

A Hat Saves the Day

Degesu moves toward the plane, but Panzy, who had crept in and hidden herself, launches a surprise attack. Degesu blocks her strike with ease, only to be blindsided by Hybis's hat, which Glorio had followed them inside to throw. The momentary stun is all Piccolo needs. He drops Degesu with a single chop to the neck, and Panzy catches Dende safely.

Degesu is bound and handed over to the Kadan Force, who escort him away at gunpoint. With Dende secure, the group decides to seek out the final Tamagami and collect his Dragon Ball before confronting Gomah. When they reach Tamagami Number One, however, they discover the Dragon Ball has already been taken. Dr. Arinsu arrives with Majin Duu and Majin Kuu, the final orb in their possession.

The Eye Awakens

Elsewhere in the palace, the demon woman who acquired the Evil Third Eye from Hybis searches for Gomah and Degesu. She finds Gomah just after he has witnessed Degesu's betrayal on his magic monitor. Elated to see the artifact, Gomah tells her to take whatever treasures she wants from the next room while he works on prying the eye free from the belt buckle.

After a brief struggle and a creative solution involving a plunger, Gomah extracts the eye. The woman returns with her haul and reluctantly presses the eye onto Gomah's forehead at his request. As the artifact fuses into place, Gomah's body begins to change, growing considerably in size and radiating terrifying new power.
