Deep inside Zoonama's volcanic lair, Trunks maintains his bridal disguise long enough for the team to drug the monster and cut one of his whiskers. When a real volcanic eruption threatens everyone's lives, Goku destroys the volcano itself with a Kamehameha, but a mysterious stranger steals the Dragon Ball.
Trunks plays the reluctant bride inside Zoonama's lair, enduring a lavish wedding banquet the creature has prepared. His wig slips off at one point, but Zoonama merely assumes his bride has short hair. Trunks manages to slip a sedative into the food, and the massive beast eventually collapses into a deep sleep.
Doma seizes the opportunity and slices off one of Zoonama's whiskers with a blade. The plan appears to be working perfectly until Zoonama stirs awake, furious at the deception.
Zoonama threatens to unleash a catastrophic earthquake, but the group quickly realizes the truth. He cannot actually cause quakes at all. His whiskers only allow him to sense seismic activity before it happens, giving him the ability to predict tremors and claim credit for causing them. The entire village has been terrorized by a bluff.
Before anyone can celebrate, a genuine volcanic eruption rocks the lair. Lava surges through the tunnels and the entire group is in mortal danger. Goku fires a Kamehameha to propel everyone out of the collapsing cavern, then destroys the volcano with a second, more powerful blast to stop the eruption entirely.
With the village saved and Zoonama's deception exposed, the grateful Gelboians hand over the Six-Star Black Star Dragon Ball as promised. The team barely has a moment to celebrate before a figure disguised as a local villager snatches the ball right out of their hands.
The stranger reveals his true alien form, boards a nearby spaceship, and vanishes into the sky before Goku can react. The thief is Bon Para, and the stolen Dragon Ball now heads toward an unknown destination. Two steps forward, one step back: the team has lost a sphere they had already earned, and a new pursuit begins.
