On Planet Pital, Baby hides inside the green boy and plots to divide and conquer the Saiyans. He possesses the hospital doctor and lures Trunks into a trap, briefly infiltrating his body before being expelled. Baby escapes into a crowd and hijacks a spaceship bound for Earth.
Episode 24 reveals the aftermath of the hospital explosion on Planet Pital. Goku pulls the green boy and the doctor from the smoke, and the medical staff marvels at the boy's survival. Behind a pleasant smile, Baby plots his next move: separate the Saiyans and take them over one by one.
His strategy gets an easy start the next morning. Goku, terrified of needles, refuses to eat hospital food out of fear he will be given a shot. Pan and Trunks have to drag him from a tree. With no restaurants on the planet, Goku and Trunks head off to fish instead, while Pan explores the grounds alone, exactly the kind of division Baby needs.
Pan encounters a young deer on the hospital grounds, and the green boy approaches her, seemingly innocent. When Goku and Trunks return from their fishing trip, the boy retreats. Shortly after, Baby abandons the boy's body and takes over the hospital doctor, who begins executing a divide-and-conquer strategy against the unsuspecting Saiyans.
The possessed doctor assures Goku that healthy patients never receive injections, coaxing him inside for food. Then the doctor offers Trunks a private tour of the facility, knowing that Trunks' love of technology will keep him occupied. The final stop is a powerful microscope that captures Trunks' full attention, giving Baby the opening he needs to attempt a hostile takeover of Trunks' body.
Goku and Pan arrive just in time to prevent Baby from fully possessing Trunks. Baby manages to cut Trunks before switching hosts again. For a terrifying moment, Baby nearly uses Trunks to attack Goku, but Trunks regains control and transforms into a Super Saiyan, forcing Baby out of his body entirely.
The three Saiyans prepare to destroy Baby once and for all, but the parasite darts into a crowd of people boarding departing spaceships. Once Baby enters a civilian woman, Goku can no longer sense his energy signature. With no way to track the creature, the crew resumes their Dragon Ball hunt. Meanwhile, Baby has already killed everyone aboard his hijacked vessel and set course for Earth, where far more powerful Saiyan hosts await.
