Goku completes his transformation into Super Saiyan 4, returning to adult form with power that dwarfs Baby Vegeta. He dominates the Tuffle parasite in combat until Bulma activates a Blutz Wave Generator, forcing Baby Vegeta to transform into a Golden Great Ape of his own.
Episode 35 opens on the moment fans had been waiting for. Goku has mastered his Great Ape form and emerged as a Super Saiyan 4, his body restored to its adult state and cloaked in crimson fur. Pan approaches cautiously, asking if the figure before her is still the hero she knows. Goku cracks a familiar smile, confirming he is very much himself. On the Sacred World of the Kai, Old Kai celebrates while his companions stare in awe at the unprecedented transformation.
Goku surveys the destruction his Great Ape rampage caused and receives a briefing from Pan. He tells Pan and Mr. Satan to stay back, then rockets toward Baby Vegeta's stronghold with a promise to end this fight once and for all. The speed and intensity of his departure leave even his allies stunned.
At Baby Vegeta's lookout, the Tuffle senses Goku's approach and scrambles to figure out why Goku can transform while he cannot. He orders Bulma to find a technological solution before Goku arrives, but time runs out. Goku storms in and engages Baby Vegeta in close quarters combat.
The gap in power is enormous. Every punch Baby lands barely registers on Goku, who treats the exchange more like sparring practice than a life-or-death battle. The Supreme Kais grow frustrated watching Goku hold back, and their concern proves justified when Goku's overconfidence gives Bulma the opening she needs.
Bulma completes her Blutz Wave Generator, a device that replicates the specific wavelength of light required to trigger the Great Ape transformation. She fires the concentrated beam directly at Baby Vegeta, and the Tuffle parasite undergoes the same kind of metamorphosis Goku experienced earlier. Baby Vegeta swells into a massive Golden Great Ape, shaking the ground beneath Planet Plant.
Goku recognizes his error in not finishing the fight sooner. Still, he does not panic. He believes his Super Saiyan 4 power remains sufficient to handle this new threat. The battlefield has escalated beyond anything the Dragon Ball universe has seen before: a Super Saiyan 4 warrior versus a Golden Great Ape possessed by an alien parasite, with the fate of two worlds hanging in the balance.
