I Kill No More

EpisodeEp. 253

Goten and Trunks achieve Super Saiyan Gotenks for the first time, though the fusion wastes most of its duration showing off. Meanwhile, Majin Buu befriends an injured puppy he names Bee and, through Mr. Satan's influence, vows to stop killing. The peace is shattered when two deranged gunmen arrive and shoot the dog.

A Super Saiyan Fusion

At the Lookout, Goten and Trunks successfully perform the Fusion Dance as Super Saiyans for the first time, creating Super Saiyan Gotenks. Instead of heading straight to fight Buu, the fused warrior wastes precious time flying around the planet eight times to show off his incredible speed. By the time Piccolo talks him into actually engaging Buu, the fusion timer expires. Goten and Trunks are forced to retreat empty-handed.

On the Sacred World of the Kai, Goku gossips with Supreme Kai about whether Old Kai's methods will actually produce results while eating meat buns during the seemingly endless wait.

Buu's Change of Heart

During his travels, Majin Buu discovers a puppy with a broken leg. When the animal shows no fear, Buu heals its injury. The puppy immediately takes a liking to its savior, and Buu names his new companion Bee. Mr. Satan watches this tender moment and begins to see Buu in a different light.

While out getting food for Bee, Satan decides to give Buu a genuine chance. He asks Buu why he kills people and destroys cities. Buu answers simply: Bibidi and Babidi told him to. When Satan explains that hurting innocent people is wrong, Buu immediately vows to stop all violence, delighting his human friend.

Peace Shattered

The fragile peace around Buu's house does not last long. Two unhinged gunmen, Van Zant and Smitty, have been roaming the countryside killing survivors for sport. They view Buu's rampage as an opportunity to satisfy their own violent urges without consequence.

The pair eventually make their way to Buu's home, determined to eliminate the monster so they can continue their killing spree unopposed. Van Zant takes aim and fires, striking Bee. The puppy collapses, and any hope of Buu's peaceful new life hangs by a thread.
