Goku blasts off for Namek aboard a specially modified spaceship, beginning intense gravity training at 20 times Earth's normal pull. On Namek, the locals mount a brave resistance against Frieza's soldiers, and elder Moori destroys their scouters to cut off the enemy's tracking ability.
With his friends already on Namek and facing mortal danger, Goku wastes no time accepting Dr. Brief's offer of a Saiyan space pod rebuilt into a proper training vessel. The ship is equipped with artificial gravity controls, allowing Goku to push his body far beyond normal limits during the six-day voyage. He immediately cranks the gravity to twenty times Earth's standard, transforming every push-up and kata into a grueling ordeal that would crush an ordinary fighter.
Dr. Brief's ingenuity shines through in the ship's design, incorporating Saiyan technology salvaged from the pod Goku arrived in as a baby. The fusion of alien engineering and Capsule Corporation brilliance gives Goku exactly what he needs: a mobile dojo hurtling through deep space at incredible speed. Every hour aboard the ship is an opportunity to grow stronger, and Goku attacks his training with the relentless drive that has defined his entire life.
The gravity chamber becomes Goku's entire world for the journey. At twenty times normal pull, simple movements require enormous effort. Walking feels like wading through concrete. Throwing a punch demands the kind of exertion that would leave most martial artists collapsed on the floor. But Goku thrives in this environment, his Saiyan blood responding to the stress by pushing his body to adapt and grow stronger with every passing hour.
On Namek, Frieza's campaign of terror continues as his soldiers systematically raid villages for Dragon Balls. The Namekians refuse to submit quietly, and several warrior-type villagers launch a courageous counterattack against the invaders. Zarbon proves far too powerful for them, but their resistance buys precious time and demonstrates the fierce spirit of the Namekian people. These are not helpless victims; they are a proud civilization fighting for survival against impossible odds.
The contrast between the peaceful Namekian landscape and the violence being inflicted upon it is stark. Green fields and tranquil waters serve as the backdrop for ruthless interrogation and slaughter at the hands of Frieza's forces.
Elder Moori makes a pivotal decision, realizing that Frieza's forces have been locating villages through their scouter devices. By destroying the scouters, Moori blinds the enemy and levels the playing field in one bold stroke. It is a tactically brilliant move that strips Frieza's army of its greatest intelligence advantage.
The act enrages Dodoria, who charges into the fray with murderous intent. Without scouters to guide them, Frieza's soldiers will have to search for villages the hard way, but Dodoria intends to make the Namekians pay dearly for this act of defiance. The stage is set for a deadly confrontation that will test the limits of Namekian courage.
