The Captain Takes the Stage

Jeice's panicked retreat brings Captain Ginyu himself to the battlefield. Unlike his subordinates, Ginyu is a composed and calculating fighter who takes the measure of his opponent before committing to any strategy. He and Goku begin their exchange, trading blows and energy blasts in what appears to be an even contest. Both warriors probe each other's defenses, looking for weaknesses while concealing their own full capabilities.

Testing the Waters

Vegeta, watching from the sidelines, senses an opportunity and slips away with Krillin and Gohan to search for the Dragon Balls while Frieza is occupied elsewhere. The Saiyan prince knows that Goku's fight with Ginyu provides a window of distraction, and he intends to exploit it fully. Ginyu is impressed by Goku's skill but remains confident. He has the ability to suppress and manipulate his own power level at will, which makes reading his true strength nearly impossible.

Goku, however, has been hiding something far more significant. The Saiyan warrior has barely scratched the surface of the power he developed during his intense gravity training. Every exchange so far has been conducted at a fraction of his true capacity, a fact that Ginyu cannot yet detect but will soon discover to his horror.

A Terrifying Revelation

When Ginyu presses for a serious exchange, Goku decides to offer a preview. He begins powering up, and his battle power climbs to levels that make Ginyu's scouter readings spike wildly. The captain realizes with growing horror that Goku has been holding back enormously throughout their entire fight. This is not a contest between equals; this is a warrior whose ceiling Ginyu cannot even estimate.

The revelation forces Ginyu to completely reassess his approach. Conventional combat will not work against an opponent this powerful, and the captain begins cycling through his available options for a strategy that might close the gap.

Frieza's Shadow Looms

While Goku and Ginyu clash, Frieza sets out for Grand Elder Guru's home to extract the Dragon Ball activation password. Gohan and Krillin sense the tyrant's movement and realize the stakes have risen dramatically. Time is running out on multiple fronts: Goku must deal with Ginyu, Frieza is closing in on Guru, and the wish that could change everything hangs in the balance.

The multi-front nature of this conflict stretches every character to their limits. There are not enough fighters to address every threat simultaneously, and every decision about where to deploy carries enormous consequences for the outcome of the entire saga.
