Great Ape (Legendary Super Saiyan)

Form

A hypothetical fusion of the Great Ape and the Legendary Super Saiyan, this form represents what would happen if a Saiyan like Broly transformed into a Great Ape while channeling the Legendary Super Saiyan's boundless energy. It originated in video games, primarily Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and depicts the most extreme possible combination of Saiyan primal power.

Origins and Concept

The Great Ape form of a Legendary Super Saiyan has never appeared in any anime or manga storyline. It exists primarily as a "what if" scenario explored through Dragon Ball video games, most notably the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The concept is straightforward: if the original Broly, who could access the Legendary Super Saiyan form, were to transform into a Great Ape via Blutz Wave exposure, the resulting creature would combine both power sources.

In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, this form was available as a playable transformation for Broly. The game treated it as one of the most powerful states any character could achieve, reflecting the theoretical combination of two of the Saiyan race's most extreme power outputs.

Visual Design

The form takes the standard Great Ape silhouette and recolors it with the Legendary Super Saiyan's signature green hue. The fur takes on a greenish tint, the aura blazes green, and the eyes emit a matching glow. The design effectively communicates that this is not a standard Great Ape or a Golden Great Ape but something tied specifically to the Legendary Super Saiyan lineage.

Power and Implications

If the Great Ape multiplies base power by ten and the Legendary Super Saiyan provides its own massive amplification on top of the standard Super Saiyan multiplier, the combined output of this form would be astronomical. The Legendary Super Saiyan's signature trait is a continuously rising power level that increases during combat, and layering the Great Ape's physical enhancement on top of that creates a scenario where the user's strength could theoretically grow without limit.

Of course, the practical reality is that such a form would be almost impossible to control. The Legendary Super Saiyan already struggles with rational thought, and the Great Ape strips away whatever restraint remains. The result would be a creature of pure destructive instinct with enough power to threaten entire planets.
