A razor-sharp katana that Yajirobe carries at all times. Despite its owner's reputation as a coward, this sword has played a decisive role in some of the series' most critical battles.
Yajirobe's katana is remarkably sharp, capable of cutting through materials that withstand even powerful energy blasts. The blade sliced cleanly through Vegeta's Saiyan battle armor, a material designed to endure extreme combat conditions, as well as through solid buildings with minimal effort.
The katana's first notable use came when Yajirobe cleaved the demon Cymbal in half during the King Piccolo Saga, establishing both Yajirobe and his sword as forces to be reckoned with despite his lack of discipline and cowardly nature.
The sword's most significant moment in the entire series came during the Saiyan Saga. When Vegeta transformed into a Great Ape, Yajirobe used his katana to sever Vegeta's tail, forcing the Saiyan prince back to his normal form. This single cut may be the most consequential sword strike in all of Dragon Ball, as it prevented Vegeta from crushing the already-defeated Z Fighters. Yajirobe then used the sword again to slash through Vegeta's armor after Goku had been incapacitated, preventing Vegeta from removing Gohan's tail. Krillin later took the katana and nearly finished Vegeta off with it before Goku stopped him.
In Future Trunks' timeline, Future Yajirobe and his sword met a grimmer fate. He was shown being killed by Future Android 18, with his sword broken in the process, though the anime later revealed he survived thanks to the last Senzu Bean.
