Seven years after the Cell Games, a teenage Gohan starts his first day at Orange Star High School in Satan City. He stops a bank robbery as a Super Saiyan, earning the nickname "Golden Warrior." Videl, Mr. Satan's daughter, begins investigating the mysterious new student at her school.
Seven peaceful years have passed since Cell's defeat. The world believes Mr. Satan saved the planet, and an entire city bears his name. Gohan, now sixteen, rides the Flying Nimbus toward his first day of high school. After years of homeschooling, Chi-Chi has decided her son needs a normal school life and enrolled him at Orange Star High School in Satan City.
Gohan hops off the Nimbus outside the city, telling it to wait until school ends. Running late, he sprints at superhuman speed, startling a passing couple. His dash is interrupted when he notices armed criminals robbing a bank. Unable to ignore it, Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan so his altered hair color disguises his identity, then charges in.
Gohan dispatches the robbers with effortless precision. One criminal unloads a clip at him, and Gohan catches every bullet. The remaining thieves pile into a truck, but Gohan flips the vehicle with a Kiai. By the time police arrive, the criminals are unconscious and nobody can explain what happened.
A girl named Videl appears and asks Gohan what went on, noting the police could not have done this. Gohan plays dumb and slips away while a bystander tells Videl the "Golden Warrior" handled everything. The witness adds a key detail: the warrior wore an Orange Star High badge, meaning he attends their school. Videl narrows her eyes, determined to find the student with golden hair.
At school, Videl interrogates a classmate named Sharpner, but he denies being the Golden Warrior. Another student, Erasa, remarks the warrior might be stronger than Mr. Satan. The teacher introduces Gohan as a new transfer student. Erasa quietly calls him handsome, waves him to an empty seat beside her, and introduces him to Videl, casually mentioning she is Mr. Satan's daughter. Gohan's eyes go wide, marking the start of an unexpected new chapter in his life.
