With the Time Machine connection weakening and only one trip to the future remaining, the heroes split up to prepare. Vegeta enters the Hyperbolic Time Chamber while Goku travels to Kame House to master the Evil Containment Wave. In the alternate timeline, Gowasu and Shin rescue Future Trunks and Mai, but Gowasu's attempt to reason with Black ends with a blade through his chest.
Black Unleashed
Goku and Vegeta escape to the present as Future Trunks holds Black at bay. Enraged by their retreat, Black takes his fury out on Future Trunks, smashing him through buildings and grinding his face into the pavement. Future Mai rushes in and cracks her shotgun across Black's back but is swatted away. In the present, Bulma reveals a critical problem: the Time Machine's link to the alternate timeline has grown dangerously weak, leaving them only one guaranteed trip back to the future. Vegeta refuses to rely on a sealing technique and insists on overpowering Black directly. They split up: Vegeta enters the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for intense training, while Goku heads to Kame House to study the Evil Containment Wave under Master Roshi.
Rescue and Betrayal
In the future, Black corners the exhausted Future Trunks and prepares to execute him with a God Binding Light Bullet. Gowasu appears unexpectedly, catching Black off guard, and together with Shin teleports Future Trunks and Future Mai to the Sacred World of the Kai. Gowasu apologizes deeply for the nightmare his former student has unleashed. Meanwhile, Beerus refuses to travel to the future, arguing he already dealt with his timeline's Zamasu and the rest falls to the Z Fighters.
While Trunks and Mai rest on the Sacred World, Black and Future Zamasu launch the Zero Mortals Project in earnest, sweeping across Earth and systematically exterminating the remaining human population. Future Zamasu voices concern that the Omni-King might discover their actions, but Black dismisses the worry outright. Gowasu insists on confronting his former pupil despite protests from the others, hoping to reason with him. Black responds by driving a blade through Gowasu's chest.
Preparations Complete
Back in the present, Goku finishes mastering the Evil Containment Wave. Master Roshi warns that the technique drains enormous stamina and once killed him during his attempt to seal King Piccolo years ago. Vegeta emerges from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, battle-ready and determined.
