The Potara's True Worth

Manga ChapterCh. 23

Fused Zamasu proves overwhelmingly powerful, shrugging off even a God Kamehameha through immortality. A revelation from Gowasu changes everything: the Potara fusion is temporary for non-Supreme Kais. Vegeta grudgingly accepts the earring, and Vegito is reborn as Super Saiyan Blue, tearing into Fused Zamasu until the fusion abruptly ends at the worst moment.

Fused Zamasu Overwhelms

Fused Zamasu emerges and proclaims himself the only necessary god. He appears behind Goku and Vegeta in the blink of an eye, dropping them both with devastating punches that knock them out of Super Saiyan God. Vegeta rises as Super Saiyan Blue but is battered down. Goku follows suit, pressing forward with heavy blows, yet Fused Zamasu's speed renders every attack futile. After slamming Goku into the ground, the Saiyan fires a God Kamehameha that tears a hole through Fused Zamasu's chest. The wound heals instantly through immortality. Fused Zamasu seizes both Saiyans with telekinesis, launches an energy barrage, and demands worship.

Fusion and Defusion

Shin offers his Potara earrings, but both Saiyans refuse. Goku charges back in as Blue, only to be pelted by Katchin blocks summoned through magic. Gowasu then delivers a critical revelation: because neither Black nor Future Zamasu held official Supreme Kai rank, their fusion carries a one-hour time limit. Shin is stunned, having always believed his past fusion persisted due to conditions inside Majin Buu rather than a timer. Knowing they must stall, Future Trunks volunteers, sharing that Future Bulma planned to travel back in time with him before Black killed her. Vegeta tells him to save his resolve until he matures as a fighter.

Vegito Returns

Goku reaches for the last Senzu Bean, but Vegeta stops him and asks for the Potara earring. A massive energy wave destroys the right side of Fused Zamasu's body, and Vegito stands revealed. He eats the Senzu Bean, transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, and dubs himself Blue Vegerot. Vegito attacks relentlessly, slicing off Fused Zamasu's hands with the Super Bajit Sword and carving into the regenerating god. He charges the God Final Kamehameha, dodging Katchin blocks, but the fusion abruptly ends. Goku and Vegeta separate in midair and are hammered by the incoming barrage.
