Dodoria's Race is the unnamed alien species to which Dodoria, one of Frieza's top lieutenants, belongs. They are large, heavy-set beings with pink or purple skin, spikes protruding from their heads and arms, and considerable physical strength that made Dodoria a feared enforcer in the Frieza Force.
Members of Dodoria's species are immediately recognizable by their imposing physical build. They are heavyset, broad-shouldered beings with thick limbs and rough, pinkish or purplish skin covered in small spike-like protrusions. Their heads feature prominent ridges and spikes, giving them a naturally intimidating silhouette. The species appears to prioritize raw physical power over speed or finesse, and their durable bodies can absorb significant punishment before showing signs of damage.
Very little is known about their homeworld or culture, as Dodoria is the only prominent representative seen in the series. What can be inferred from his behavior and position is that the species produces warriors capable enough to earn high-ranking positions in galaxy-spanning military organizations.
Dodoria served as one of Frieza's two most trusted lieutenants alongside Zarbon, forming the immediate inner circle below the tyrant himself. During the Namek Saga, Dodoria accompanied Frieza to Planet Namek in the hunt for the Dragon Balls. He personally led the massacre of Moori's village, killing the Namekian elder and several warriors to extract the location of a Dragon Ball. He also pursued and nearly killed Dende, the young Namekian who had escaped the slaughter.
Dodoria's downfall came when he chased Gohan and Krillin, who had rescued Dende. He lost them in the Namekian terrain and was confronted by Vegeta. In a desperate attempt to save himself, Dodoria revealed to Vegeta the truth about Planet Vegeta's destruction at Frieza's hands, information Vegeta had already suspected. Vegeta killed Dodoria with a single energy blast, ending one of the Frieza Force's most feared enforcers in an unceremonious display of how the power hierarchy was already shifting.
Dodoria remains the sole prominent member of his species in the main Dragon Ball storyline. Other members have appeared in video games and supplementary material, but no canonical exploration of the species' homeworld, culture, or history has been provided. This is consistent with how many alien races in Dragon Ball exist primarily through the lens of a single representative who serves the Frieza Force.
Dodoria himself is notable for being one of the strongest fighters in Frieza's army at the time of the Namek Saga, with a power level of 22,000. While this was far below the Ginyu Force and Frieza himself, it placed him well above the rank-and-file soldiers and made him a genuine threat to the Namekian warriors. His death at Vegeta's hands served as an early signal that the balance of power on Namek was about to shift dramatically in favor of the Saiyan rebels and Earth's fighters.
