Dodoria is one of Frieza's top two generals, serving alongside Zarbon as the tyrant's most trusted enforcers. A massive, brutal warrior with pink skin and a spiky head, he is known for his cruelty and willingness to carry out Frieza's most violent orders without question. He plays a key role during the early Namek Saga.
Dodoria serves as Frieza's blunt instrument during the invasion of Planet Namek. While Zarbon handles diplomacy and strategy, Dodoria provides the raw intimidation and violence that keep Frieza's soldiers in line. He personally leads the massacre of Namekian villages, killing elders and warriors alike to extract information about the Dragon Balls. His most significant atrocity is the slaughter of a Namekian village that includes the death of several warriors trying to protect their people, an act witnessed by a young Dende.
Dodoria also carries knowledge of a secret that connects to Vegeta's past: the true circumstances of Planet Vegeta's destruction. When Vegeta ambushes and corners him, Dodoria desperately offers this information in exchange for his life, revealing that Frieza destroyed the Saiyan homeworld out of fear of the Super Saiyan legend. Despite this revelation, Vegeta kills Dodoria anyway, marking one of Vegeta's first open acts of rebellion against Frieza's forces.
As a character, Dodoria functions as an early benchmark for the power scaling on Namek. His defeat by Vegeta demonstrates how dramatically the Saiyan prince has grown since his arrival on Earth, and it signals to the audience that the power dynamics of the Frieza Saga will operate on an entirely different level than anything that came before.
