The humanoid inhabitants of Planet Imecka, characterized by pointy ears and skin tones ranging from blue and green to pink and white. Living under the tyrannical rule of Don Kee, the Imeckians endure crushing poverty and oppressive taxation. They are the first alien civilization Goku, Pan, and Trunks encounter in Dragon Ball GT.
Imeckians are a sapient humanoid species native to Planet Imecka. They are generally the same height as or slightly shorter than Earthlings, with their most distinctive feature being their sharply pointed ears. Their skin comes in a wide range of colors including blue, green, pink, white, and brown, giving their marketplaces and streets a visually diverse appearance despite the uniform misery of their living conditions.
They are an omnivorous species with a culture that, under better circumstances, might have thrived. Unfortunately, their civilization is defined almost entirely by the poverty imposed upon them by their ruler, the greedy tyrant Don Kee. Most Imeckians live in squalor, many are homeless, and the marketplace vendors have turned to swindling out of sheer survival necessity.
Don Kee rules Planet Imecka through a combination of extortionate taxation and enforcement by his loyal retainers. His two commissioners, Gale and Sheela, handle day-to-day operations, while the alien mercenary Ledgic serves as his personal enforcer and bodyguard. The Imeckian Army and police force maintain order through intimidation, ensuring that no citizen challenges the regime.
The taxes Don Kee levies are so severe that they have stripped virtually all wealth from the general population, redirecting it into his lavish personal estate. Imeckians who might otherwise be honest traders have been driven to deceit just to survive, making the planet's marketplaces notoriously dangerous for unsuspecting visitors.
This was the state of affairs when Goku, Pan, and Trunks arrived on Imecka early in Dragon Ball GT during their search for the Black Star Dragon Balls. After the trio defeated Don Kee's forces, including besting Ledgic in combat, they forced the tyrant to promise the return of all confiscated spaceships and free living conditions for his people. Whether Don Kee honored that promise after they left remains uncertain.
Planet Imecka holds the distinction of being the first alien world visited in Dragon Ball GT, establishing the tone for the Grand Tour arc. The Imeckians themselves serve as a vehicle for exploring the darker side of the Dragon Ball universe, showing that not every planet's problems can be solved with ki blasts. Their suffering stems from political corruption, and their liberation required diplomacy as much as strength.
Notable Imeckians include Don Kee himself, commissioners Gale and Sheela, and the civilian Futopa and his wife, who represent the ordinary citizens struggling under the regime. The species also appears in the video game Dragon Ball GT: Transformation, extending their presence beyond the anime into the broader GT multimedia landscape.
