The Okakaume-seijin are an alien species from the Dragon Ball universe whose most notable member is Pui Pui, one of Babidi's warriors during the Buu Saga. Hailing from Planet Zoon, a world with ten times Earth's gravity, Pui Pui expected this environmental advantage to give him an edge against the Z Fighters. He was wrong.
The Okakaume-seijin evolved on Planet Zoon, a world where the gravitational pull is ten times that of Earth. This harsh environment shaped them into beings naturally adapted to heavy gravity, giving them physical capabilities that would seem impressive to species from lighter worlds. Pui Pui, the species' sole known representative, was lean and muscular with light purple skin, pointed ears, and a confident demeanor that suggested he was accustomed to being the strongest person in any given room.
Their home planet's gravity was clearly a point of pride for the Okakaume-seijin, or at least for Pui Pui, who eagerly requested that Babidi teleport his fight to Planet Zoon so he could exploit the gravitational advantage against Vegeta.
Pui Pui served as the first line of defense inside Babidi's spaceship, guarding the lowest level against intruders. When Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan descended through the ship to reach Majin Buu's sealed chamber, Pui Pui stepped forward to face Vegeta with absolute confidence in his abilities.
Babidi, sensing an opportunity, used his magic to teleport the fight to Planet Zoon, hoping that ten times Earth's gravity would cripple the Saiyan prince. Pui Pui gloated about the advantage. Vegeta was unimpressed. The Saiyan prince casually mentioned that he routinely trained in 450 times Earth's gravity, making Zoon's pull feel like a mild breeze. He then obliterated Pui Pui with minimal effort, ending what might be the fastest defeat of a named villain in the entire Buu Saga.
The Okakaume-seijin, through Pui Pui, serve a specific narrative purpose in the Buu Saga: demonstrating how far beyond ordinary warriors the Z Fighters have progressed. By the time the heroes face Babidi, threats that would have been formidable during the Saiyan Saga barely register. Pui Pui's ten-times gravity, once a genuinely dangerous concept in Dragon Ball when Goku trained at similar levels on King Kai's planet, is now a joke told at Vegeta's expense.
No other Okakaume-seijin appear in the Dragon Ball franchise. Pui Pui's quick defeat is the species' sole contribution to the story, but it accomplishes exactly what it needs to. In a saga that would eventually feature universe-threatening levels of power, someone had to establish the scale by losing badly. The Okakaume-seijin drew the short straw.
