Eight-Arm Fist

Technique

A speed technique that creates the illusion of having eight arms through rapid movement. King Chappa invented it, and Goku later borrowed it to counter Tien's Four Witches Technique.

The Illusion of Extra Arms

Unlike Tien Shinhan's Four Witches Technique, which physically grows two additional arms, the Eight-Arm Fist is purely an illusion created by extreme speed. The user moves their two real arms so rapidly that afterimages make it appear as though they have eight. To an opponent, all eight arms look equally solid and real, making it nearly impossible to predict which ones will deliver the actual strike. The technique doubles as both offense and defense, since the constant blur of movement can block incoming attacks while simultaneously delivering punches from unpredictable angles.

Chappa, Goku, and Tien

King Chappa first displayed the Eight-Arm Fist during the preliminary rounds of the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, using it against young Goku. Despite the impressive visual display, Goku was fast enough to handle it. The technique truly shined later in the tournament finals when Tien Shinhan sprouted a third and fourth arm with the Four Witches Technique, giving him a seemingly unbeatable advantage. Goku's brilliant counter was to pull out the Eight-Arm Fist, matching Tien's four real arms with eight illusory ones and completely neutralizing the advantage. The crowd went wild watching what appeared to be a twelve-armed brawl.

King Chappa's Last Stand

The Eight-Arm Fist saw its most tragic use when King Chappa attempted it against Tambourine, one of King Piccolo's demonic offspring. Chappa was a skilled martial artist, one of the strongest humans alive at the time, but Tambourine was on another level entirely. The demon countered with a hundred-armed version of the same principle, overwhelming Chappa's eight-arm barrage with sheer volume. Tambourine killed Chappa shortly after, marking one of the darkest moments of the King Piccolo Saga and demonstrating that raw technique alone could not bridge the gap against supernatural enemies.
