Super Perfect Cell's ultimate Kamehameha variant, charged with enough energy to annihilate the entire solar system. Deployed against Gohan in the climactic Father-Son Kamehameha energy clash.
The Solar Kamehameha is Cell's crowning destructive achievement. After returning from self-destruction as Super Perfect Cell, powered up with Saiyan Power and a Super Saiyan 2 level aura crackling with blue lightning, Cell charges a Super Kamehameha with so much energy that he openly boasts it can wipe out the entire solar system. "Why think small?" he taunts Gohan. "I have enough energy right now to annihilate your entire solar system!"
Whether the claim is literal or bluster, the technique's raw output is undeniable. Cell pours everything he has into the blast, positioning it as the definitive test of whether this bio-android can truly surpass every warrior who contributed cells to his creation.
Cell fires the Solar Kamehameha at the one-armed Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, whose power has been halved after shielding Vegeta from a stray blast. Gohan counters with the Father-Son Kamehameha, guided by the spirit of Goku from Other World. The energy clash that follows is one of the most iconic moments in anime history.
Cell overpowers Gohan multiple times during the struggle. Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha fire their own attacks at Cell to create a distraction, but Cell angrily swats them away without breaking concentration. The turning point comes when Vegeta, consumed by guilt over his role in Cell's completion, fires a Galick Blazer that catches Cell off guard for just a fraction of a second. In that window, Goku's voice urges Gohan to release everything. Gohan unleashes his full remaining power, and the Father-Son Kamehameha overwhelms the Solar Kamehameha completely, disintegrating Cell down to the last cell.
"Say hi to Dad," Cell sneers before firing. He never imagined Dad would be firing right alongside his son.
The Solar Kamehameha appears across dozens of games under names like "Perfect Kamehameha" in the Xenoverse series. These games often feature a "Father-Son Perfect Kamehameha" variation where Cell and the Cell Juniors combine their blasts, representing an alternate timeline where Cell wins. In Xenoverse, this dark version is used by Dark Perfect Cell and Dark Cell Juniors to kill Gohan in an altered Age 767 timeline that the player must correct.
A Dual Ultimate Attack version in Xenoverse 2 lets players team up with Cell to fire a combined Perfect Kamehameha. The technique is also Cell's Ultimate Blast in nearly every appearance in the Budokai and Tenkaichi series, usually accompanied by his solar system destruction boast.
