Chapter 108

Three sorcerers find themselves caged within Dagon's Horizon of the Captivating Skandha, a beachfront domain whose attacks cannot miss. Nanami and Maki are torn into by predatory fish that simply appear at the target rather than swim toward it. Naobito, a special grade, deflects the guaranteed strikes for a time, yet the curse's endless swarm grinds the trio toward defeat. The deadlock breaks only when a second domain crashes the scene to pull them out.

Trapped inside the expansion, Nanami and Maki take bites from piranha shikigami that materialize on contact. Naobito turns to his clan's Falling Blossom Emotion, a secret art handed down through the three great sorcerer families that answers an unblockable domain hit with a burst of cursed energy instead of raising a counter-domain. Reading the Zenin head as a real threat, Dagon weighs his force seventy to thirty against Naobito and Nanami, then unleashes Death Swarm. The flood of shikigami seems to consume Naobito after the curse ambushes him from inside the current and hurls him skyward. With Nanami also swallowed up, Maki alone remains, bitten and pinned.

Dagon brands Maki the weakest present and boots her into the wooded edge of the shore. She survives, daring the curse to kill her in a single blow if he means to mock her, and silently wishes she had reached Megumi first. As Dagon moves to finish her, a tower of liquid shadow bursts from the sea: Megumi's Chimera Shadow Garden. He surges out of the geyser and stretches a shadow toward Maki, handing her the cursed tool Playful Cloud. Grateful, she calls him a cocky brat.

The clash falls within the Shibuya Incident arc and is set inside Dagon's domain beneath Shibuya Station. Techniques on display include Dagon's Horizon of the Captivating Skandha and Death Swarm, Naobito's Falling Blossom Emotion, and Megumi's Chimera Shadow Garden.
