Chapter 109 (Vigilantes)

Coaching from inside Number 6's head, the phantom version of O'Clock scolds him for leaning too hard on borrowed technique. An opponent as irregular as Koichi Haimawari, it argues, has to be maneuvered into a corner rather than simply outfought. Number 6 answers by sprouting extra arms and studding his frame with explosives, hurling the first volley skyward as a distraction before scattering more at ground level to drive his target upward.

Koichi reads the airborne charges as a bluff, then grasps the trick too late. The ground bombs were the herding tool, and the space above him has become a lattice of detonations. He rockets clear, and when the next salvo comes he thins it out with his Shooty-Go-Kablam, though the effort empties him and leaves him with an ugly landing.

Watching Koichi speed off again, the illusion decides grenades alone will not settle this, so Number 6 reaches for a different sort of ordnance. The Police Force, meanwhile, is working through the captured Anonymous back at the hospital using nets and rope. Moyuru Tochi and Rapt Tokage are still debating what to do about the ones loose around town when the five already restrained begin wriggling free.

A crowd of Anonymous runs Koichi down, too numerous and too quick for either Shooty-Go-Blam or its stronger cousin, leaving him nothing but flight. "O'Clock" identifies this as Phase 6 of Operation Anonymous, the point where every available resource goes at the target. The Hi-Crawler body Number 6 now wears amplifies Overclock, handing him fluid command of the swarm while his thinking accelerates to match.

The illusion presses the point that Number 6 was never an ordinary person, and the boy's burning fixation on Koichi spreads outward as a web of borrowed bloodlust. Privately, All For One weighs the price of switching targets and files the mission as a loss, yet the experiment has turned intriguing enough to keep running. Smiling, he tells his pupil to follow his twisted path, chase his culmination, and break past every limit he has.

Operation Anonymous reaches its sixth phase, with the Hi-Crawler body letting Number 6 drive Overclock into double duty: sharpened cognition alongside direct command of the swarm, a final attempt to box Koichi in.

The chapter confirms that the O'Clock figure guiding Number 6 has no physical existence and amounts to nothing more than an illusion.

The five Anonymous restrained by the Police Force at the hospital start working loose, undercutting the careful roundup and signalling that the swarm is being directed remotely.

Released on September 11, 2021, the chapter runs nineteen pages and collects into the fourteenth volume of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and drawn by Betten Court. It sits inside the Naruhata Lockdown arc, following Chapter 108 and leading into Chapter 110.

Serialization carried the installment under the name Culmination (到達点, Tōtatsuten), which was swapped for Besieged when the volume was compiled. The cover assembles O'Clock and his impostor alongside Number 6 and Koichi Haimawari.

Alongside the leads, the chapter brings in Naomasa Tsukauchi, Rapt Tokage, and Moyuru Tochi on the police side of the crisis.
