Summary

Present Mic tries to drag Eraser Head out for a meal at U.A. and gets turned down, since covering Midnight's absence has eaten his schedule. Plucking an earbud loose, Mic finds him tuned to Naruhata news and asks whether the old acquaintances over there are weighing on him. Denial follows. If he cares that much, Mic suggests, he should keep wiping their backsides, and the reply comes back cheerfully that he is not their teacher. Mic laughs, because the voice gives him away. A text from Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi arrives.

Midnight calls Soga with news that Kazuho has stabilized, though nobody can say when she will wake. Soga tells her the group is ready to turn over everything Iwao Oguro assembled the moment her safety is guaranteed, and after the strike on the police station Midnight agrees that guarantee matters. Soga phones Koichi next, who mostly wants clean underwear, so Rapt takes the key to the penthouse. Arriving, Rapt notices the broken window and briefly considers burglars before letting it go. Digging through the clothes, he never registers the missing bag holding Knuckleduster's mask and knuckles.

Koichi remembers taking Kazuho out to see the moon, telling her the view suffers from all the surrounding buildings, and that a narrower slice of sky makes the moon look bigger. She laughed at how deep the line sounded. Now he looks up alone, thinking that when she wakes there will be plenty to say, whatever it turns out to be, and that he is not going anywhere. At the station, Naomasa stonewalls Makoto's attempts to pry the situation open, and she keeps working her own angle with Captain Celebrity and Pamela behind her. He knows the bombing was meant to stall the Naruhata investigation, and that Eizo Tanuma is critical with no sign of waking. Soga's demand that the police do their jobs properly sits with him too. Then Officer Sansa arrives carrying an arrest warrant for Koichi Haimawari, alias The Crawler. Authority cannot lean on outlaws, Naomasa reasons, because doing so concedes that justice has failed. The two head out to take the reins back from the Naruhata Vigilantes.
