Jiron is a deputy commander of the Revolutionary Army's North Army and the right hand of Karasu. A betting-loving prankster from the North Blue, he debuts during the Egghead Arc with a peculiar talent for swallowing anything, edible or not.
Jiron sports a shaved head with stripe-dyed hair and keeps a goggle-shaped mask drawn over his eyes. A set of headphones sits on his head, and a fuzzy cape hangs loosely from his shoulders.
True to his place in the Revolutionary Army, Jiron has no hesitation about defying the World Government, his officer rank only sharpening that resolve. He is something of a trickster with a fondness for wagers, and he shows clear respect for Sabo, addressing him as Sabo-san where his peers tend not to bother with the honorific. A verbal tic colors his speech: he ends sentences with je in place of the usual ze, a habit the VIZ translation renders by swapping y for j, turning words like you into jou.

As a deputy commander, Jiron holds authority over the lower ranks of the Revolutionary Army, standing second only to Karasu within the North Army. He also has the unusual capacity to eat inedible objects with no ill effect whatsoever, though whether a Devil Fruit lies behind this remains unconfirmed. During the Egghead Arc he was stationed on the coast of Momoiro Island with fellow deputy commanders Ushiano, Ahiru, and Gambo when a ship appeared offshore. Gambo proposed a bet on whether it carried an enemy, and Jiron staked his wager on Sabo, who indeed returned. When Gambo cried foul and accused him of using a telescope to cheat, Jiron simply ate the telescope to destroy the evidence. He later joined the other revolutionaries in listening to Vegapunk's broadcast.
