The Emperor's Daughter - Sanji's Fiancée Pudding

Inside the cafe, introductions begin with Luffy bellowing his name and declaring he will be the next pirate king, prompting Nami to clamp a hand over his mouth. Pudding blushes, sensing Luffy looks familiar, and soon works out that these are Sanji's crewmates, while the Straw Hats repeat her name until the memory clicks. When Brook asks whether she belongs to the Charlotte Family, she confirms it, and to Luffy's question she admits Big Mom is her mother and the marriage to Sanji has been forced upon her. Brook howls with envy that Sanji landed so sweet a bride.

Realizing the crew breached the guards protecting Totto Land, Pudding panics and draws a knife on them, only for Pedro to level a sword at her in return. Luffy tells Pedro to let her go, reminding everyone they came to Totto Land for Sanji's sake. Pudding then describes her enormous family, stunning the Straw Hats, and explains that she is being forced into the marriage. She adds that, although Sanji has feelings for her, he would rather rejoin his crew than wed, leaving the pirates shocked that he would turn down such a beautiful girl.

Before parting, Pudding promises not to alert Big Mom and draws them a path leading to Whole Cake Island, the Emperor's home. The Straw Hats thank her and leave, Brook angling once more to glimpse her panties until Nami strikes him. Back at the Sunny, the crew is alarmed to find Pekoms gone and a warning scratched into the bathroom, yet an excited Luffy declares they will press forward all the same. Elsewhere, a tense Sanji, accompanied by Vito, makes landfall at the Germa Kingdom, while a second Germa 66 force led by his elder brothers Ichiji and Niji lands on Broc Coli Island, scarred by war, meets a leader of one faction, and readies for battle once told their payment is prepared.

This episode is part of the Whole Cake Island Arc. The anime adds several beats: Luffy ordering Pedro to release Pudding and recalling their mission, Luffy's startled reaction to her many siblings, Carrot also protesting Pedro's idea of binding Pudding, Pudding's pledge of secrecy before drawing the map, and Brook poised to ask for her panties as the team departs. It also depicts Sanji's arrival at the Germa Kingdom and his brothers reaching Broc Coli Island. Unlike the manga, the anime has Pudding recognize the crew before they place her name, and her first meeting with Sanji is shown with him only shadowed rather than as silhouettes.
