Caulifla

Caulifla is introduced as a rough, rebellious gang leader on Planet Sadala who has no interest in the upcoming Tournament of Power until Cabba demonstrates the Super Saiyan transformation for her. Her natural talent is immediately apparent: she achieves Super Saiyan almost instantly after being shown the method, and quickly progresses to Super Saiyan 2 during the same training session. This rapid advancement establishes her as a prodigy even among Saiyans.

Her personality is defined by an unshakable self-confidence that borders on arrogance. She refuses to show deference to anyone, including the God of Destruction Champa, and views the tournament primarily as an opportunity to fight strong opponents and prove herself. Her relationship with Kale, a timid Saiyan who idolizes her, adds depth to her character. Caulifla treats Kale with a mixture of tough love and genuine affection, pushing her protege to unlock her latent power.

During the Tournament of Power, Caulifla actively seeks out Goku as an opponent, viewing him as the strongest fighter available and the best means of pushing her own limits. Their extended battle allows her to test her Super Saiyan 2 abilities against Goku's various forms, and she proves a quick learner who adapts her fighting style mid-combat. Goku, for his part, enjoys the fight and respects her tenacity.

When both Caulifla and Kale face elimination by the Universe 11 fighter Anilaza and other threats, the two Saiyans use the Potara earrings to fuse into Kefla, a combined warrior whose power rivals Super Saiyan Blue. Kefla's battle against Goku pushes him to activate Ultra Instinct for the second time, making the fusion an indirect catalyst for one of the saga's most important power-ups.

Caulifla's significance in Dragon Ball extends beyond her combat achievements. She represents a new generation of Saiyans unburdened by the tragic history of Universe 7.
